![]() ![]() I don't know much about these but it seemed like a fair price. ![]() ![]() Today the backlog was 3+hours and I just didn't want to come back a second time. I was there to pick up a pistol that I purchased yesterday when the backlog was 90+ minutes due to holiday shopping. That normally wouldn't have made a difference to me but our background checks go through NICs via the State Police. The manager stated I would have to go through the background check and 4473 because a pre 98 manufacture date could not be confirmed, so I passed on it. I was going to buy it thinking the 4473 and background check would not be required as it is a pre 1898 rifle. It had some very minor pitting on the right side of the receiver ring and a 1 inch long by 1/8 inch piece of wood was chipped off the top of the stock in the same area. I judge it to be in very good condition, all matching numbers, intact crest, bore looked pretty good, marked Lowe Germany. An 1891 Argentine engineer carbine caught my eye at a local shop today. ![]()
